Soft Furnishings Ignitability Tester

Soft Furnishings Ignitability Tester

Soft Furnishings Ignitability Tester

BS 5852 is a British fire safety testing standard primarily used to evaluate the flame resistance of furniture and interior products.

BS 5852 testing equipment evaluates the fire safety of these products by measuring how furniture and other products react in a fire environment, particularly by measuring characteristics such as flame propagation, smoke generation, and heat release.

The BS 5852 testing equipment provides various functions necessary for evaluating the fire resistance of furniture and interior decoration products by measuring flame spread rate, smoke density, temperature changes, and more.

This test is particularly important for evaluating the fire hazards of furniture fabrics, cushions, and filling materials.

Key Features

Flame Emitter Conducts experiments using a standardized flame emitter. This emitter applies a flame of consistent size and intensity to the test sample.

Temperature and Smoke Density Meter Measures the amount of heat and smoke generated during fire testing using a smoke density meter and temperature sensors.

Automated Testing System Test setup and data recording are automated, and once the user configures the test procedure, the system automatically conducts the test and records data.

Safety Features Includes a flame detection system and temperature detection system, which can automatically issue warnings and terminate the test in the event of a fire during testing.
