The DVS Endeavour is a high-performance gravimetric sorption analyzer developed by Surface Measurement Systems (SMS), capable of simultaneously analyzing up to five samples. 


While precisely controlling temperature and relative humidity, the DVS Endeavour measures sample mass changes in real time under water vapor and organic vapor environments to analyze sorption and desorption characteristics.


Equipped with five sample chambers and a specially configured UltraBalance system, the DVS Endeavour enables laboratories to measure mass changes from moisture and organic solvent sorption or desorption in real time, delivering detailed and accurate insights into organic vapor and water vapor sorption kinetics.


With flexible configuration options for diverse experimental conditions and accessories, the DVS Endeavour enables quantitative analysis of hygroscopicity, stability, and structural changes in a wide range of materials — including pharmaceuticals, polymers and materials, food science, cosmetics, and batteries and energy.

Speed of Sound Sensor 


The speed of sound is an intrinsic physical property of the vapor or gas being measured, varying with temperature, gas/vapor concentration, and the type of gas or vapor. The Speed of Sound Sensor (SoS Sensor) built into the DVS Discovery is the only method capable of directly measuring vapor concentration using ultrasound. By measuring the speed of sound traveling through a fixed volume of solvent gas or vapor, this sensor precisely determines gas or vapor concentration in real time.
